Coach Daniil Gleikhengauz expressed frustration over the scoring at the 2026 Olympics, stating that Russian skater Petr Gumennik deserved at least a bronze medal for his exceptional performance but finished 6th due to discrepancies in judging. Here’s a translation of his comments.

“I promised myself I wouldn’t say anything, but I can’t hold back. In my personal opinion, given the circumstances surrounding Petr – with no ranking, without anything – today, he should have taken third place. If our skaters had been eligible for rankings and hadn’t been excluded, he would’ve placed at least second.

What we’re seeing in his score breakdown doesn’t reflect the reality. I can say this with certainty. We reviewed all the participants’ performances. The number of unclear calls and deductions given to him – others were excused from those.

Additionally, his component score was 80 points despite a completely clean skate. He had no deductions, no step-outs, yet he received a components score of 80. Meanwhile, renowned skaters like Ilia Malinin and Adam Siao Him Fa received higher component scores for free skates that were completely flawed. That’s not entirely fair.

This isn’t the way the system should work. It’s very unfortunate. For me, Petr deserved at least a medal,” Gleikhengauz said during a broadcast on Okko.

It was an exceptional very fluid performance by Petr Gumenik, technically and artistically.
If experts worldwide agree and can prove it in a precise objective way they should come together and appeal to the IOC yo revoke the unjustified low scores.

Yes I see they are still delusional
