Speaking about this season, Riku and Ryuichi mentioned that their theme for this season is “83.150,” explaining that they aim to exceed 83 points in the short program and 150 points in the free skating, surpassing their past results.
“Every season, the theme becomes about always surpassing our past performances. We have set this goal to go beyond the high-80s score in the SP, which was our previous season’s best, and to reach 150 points in the Free Skating,” added Kihara
He described their style as being more focused on earning points through technical elements. This season, they also want to improve in their artistic expression. “To continue winning on the world stage and to catch up with past world champions and Olympic medalists, it’s essential to enhance not only our technical abilities but also our artistic expression. We believe we need to improve in these aspects,” said Ryuichi Kihara. Riku Miura also expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “Not only in terms of technical elements, but I also hope we can power up our artistic expression.”
