Best dresses from JGP in Riga | Ice dance
Best dresses from short dance at JGP in Riga. Who was the most stylish among ice dancers?
Emily Day and Kevin Leahy (USA)
I like her dress, it’s not overloaded with details. Deep red color looks great on ice and also looks chic. I like that they chose black and white palette for Kevin because Emily’s dress is bright enough. Trousers with a high waistline it’s a brave solution, but looks good on him, quite romantic and has a historical note.
Betina Popova and Yuri Vlasenko (Russia)
Betina has interesting dress for her magical and a bit demonic program. I like the idea and the skirt, it looks good in motions. But the length of skirt seems to be a little bit dangerous. I also like the accessorizes. Yuri’s costume is dark and simple, but it like the scarlet lining in his jacket.
Angelique Abachkina Louis Thauron (France)
Nice and tender costumes in soft color palette. Good choice for juniors. But the costumes is more like for Romeo and Juliet program rather Don Quixote. But still beautiful and perfectly match to each other.
Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko (USA)
Those a my personal favorite. Simple but stylish and elegant. A tailcoat always look good and it’s difficult to think about something more suitable for a waltz. I also like when costumes look wearable and Christina’s dress could be a cute cocktail dress.
