Watching Russian girls on the ice in the corner of your eye?
Scott Moir: Oh, of course! Who is not watching?! It’s interesting to watch their progress.
I don’t watch single skating that much, and even less women’s single skating, but Russian girls are power. How do they do that?
Now everyone will start teasing me, because I dared to name my favorite, but I just adore Elizaveta Tuktamysheva.
We performed together a little in the show, so we got to know each other better, I found out what an incredible person she is. She is an example for so many athletes!
So persistent, never discouraged, just doing her job. It seems that in Russia new girl appear every week and there are so many of them! But Elizabeth is holding on, moreover – improving!
As an athlete, I respect it very much.

Yes, I agree absolutlely.
No teasing, just complete agreement. Tuktamysheva is the Empress. She is a study in resilience and belief and should be admired and rewarded. I remember seeing her at Skate Canada when she was 15. She has not only endured but has blossomed. Love her.
You and Tessa are Power and Strength and Beauty. I do understand what you’re saying though. Honestly I Competed in the 80’s so I’m Old School. So I believe the Power is in the Pair or Individual the way they feel the Music and Present it, not just the quads etc. Love you Scott Moir
If Canada produces Athletes as Russia and a “new girl” appears every week. They’ll be quite about it.
