Marco Fabbri: “Probably we expected a bit higher scores. But we understand that each competitions are judged differently, and 82 points at different competitions mean different things.”

Guignard and Fabbri finished first with the total score of 85.53 points.
Marco Fabbri: To be honest, I’m surprised that we managed to cope with the pressure. We understood that we were going here as favorites, that we were one of two duets claiming gold here. We have never had such experience before, so it’s difficult. But from the first training session, everything immediately went well. We are satisfied with our performance but there is always something to work on, of course.
Probably we expected a bit higher scores. But we understand that each competitions are judged differently, and 82 points at different competitions mean different things, sometimes it’s a comfortable lead, sometimes it’s almost the same score with other pairs.
We will try to start tomorrow from scratch, the margin of points is very small. Tomorrow will be a new day, a new motivation, a new task.
