On September 6, the figure skater underwent surgery on her injured hip, and at the end of last month she went to the clinic for rehabilitation.
Elena Buyanova: Alena (Kostornaia) is back on the ice, which she missed very much. It was clearly visible. In general, she is already skating, and we are restraining her. We explain that we need to slowly get involved in the training process, not to force it. We are very happy about her return, we are waiting for a full recovery.
According to TASS, Kostornaia also confirmed this information
“I was discharged from the hospital, I’m already at home. At the end of November, I will need to take the rehabilitation course again. Already managed to visit the rink, could help but go. It was important for me to see the coach, discuss plans, be with my team,” TASS quotes Kostornaia.
Kostornaia on Telegram also denied the information from her coach that she had already started training.
“I really visit CSKA, but I haven’t started training yet. I really want to go on the ice, but the coaches and doctors are restraining me. As soon as I can train, I will be the first to announce it.”
