Alexei Mishin about training camp in Courchevel

Alexei Mishin told about training camp of his group.

We arrive to camp in Courchevel on 17 June and on 18th start to work. All our group take participation including Evgeni Plushenko. There will be an interesting team – skaters from America, Canada.  Emanuel Sandhu will work in Courchevel along with my traditional colleagues  – Tatiana Mishina, Tatiana Prokofieva, Oleg Tataurov.

Sandhu has non-standard vision of figure skating, based completely on the US-Canadian system. European trends almost didn’t affect him.

Kostner wants to work again with our group after a successful training camp in Tartu. In any case, she said, she will try to change her plans and come to us. Can I now be consider as her coach? If I work with Kostner on a regular basis, I won’t have enough time for my athletes. – Mishin said.

And a comment from Evgeni Plushenko:

We’re going to Courchevel on June 17 and will have two-week training camp in  mountains. There I;ll go out on the ice for the first time after surgery I had three months ago. I think everything will be fine. I plan to make a new program during this camp. Slowly get into the shape. We need to see how I’ll feel after the surgery.

Training camp in Courchevel is needed to prepare, to make programs, and then we will make some decisions. But July 4-6  I have six shows in Astana. So, now we are mostly preparing to the show. – Plushevko said.
