Haein Lee, going 7th after the short program at 2025 World Championships, commented on her performance. Here’s a translation of her comments posted on MFocus.

Meeting with reporters in the mixed zone after her performance, Haein Lee expressed relief: “I’m really glad I landed all my jumps. I was worried because my boots aren’t fully comfortable yet, but I managed to perform well without major issues during the competition.”

When asked about her shaky appearance during the official practice session the previous day, she responded, “This competition is the most important event of the season, so I’m sure all the skaters were feeling nervous. I also felt pressure, but competing in front of such a large audience made me happy.”

She emphasized that her coach gave her advice that greatly empowered her before the competition. “My coach told me, ‘The fact that you’re competing here alongside such outstanding athletes is something to be proud of.’ That comment gave me so much energy,” she added.

When asked to reflect on her experience at the World Championships, Lee said, “Thankfully, I’ve never missed competing in a World Championships, and this event holds significant meaning for me as always. While this competition can bring a lot of pressure, it’s also a stage that continuously drives my growth.”

Speaking about her “Ave Maria” program, which she used back in 2020-2021 season, she mentioned: “When I first used this program, it was also for a pivotal competition where Olympic spots were on the line. I never imagined back then that I’d stand here again in this program. It feels deeply moving.”
