Ekaterina Geynish and Dmitry Chigirev, who now represent Uzbekistan in pair skating, shared their emotions about competing at the 2025 World Championships in Boston. Quoted by Sports correspondent Maya Bagriantseva. Here’s a translation.

“We’ve been in America for two weeks now. We first arrived for training camp in Colorado Springs, so we’ve already adapted to the time zone.

We focused more on improving our physical condition since we know this was a problem during previous competitions. We worked hard on eliminating certain flaws — overall, we put in solid effort, and we’re happy with the results. We didn’t make major changes to the programs, except for swapping out a jump, switching from the loop to the salchow for tactical reasons,” Chigirev told Sports correspondent Maya Bagryantseva.

“Yes, we’ve been in Boston for two days now, everything is going smoothly, and the training sessions are going well. It’s a bit unusual that the ice rink is smaller than the standard size, but we’ve already adjusted. Overall, we’re eagerly looking forward to the start of the competition. We’ve heard that the arena will be almost sold out, and we’re excited to feel what it’s like to perform in front of a packed venue in such a large hall.

Almost our entire coaching team traveled with us to Boston, so rinkside we’ll have Nina Mikhailovna Mozer, Vladislav Zhovnirsky, and Ramil Mekhdiev,” said Geynish.
