In December 2021, Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva tested positive for trimetazidine. It is expected that today (January 29) the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will make a decision regarding the athlete.

“Eteri Georgievna (Tutberidze) said that if it were up to her, she would make everyone involved in this story take a lie detector test. But at the moment, as far as I know, only one person has taken the lie detector test – that very Philip Shvetsky (a doctor who worked with the Russian national team at the 2022 Olympics – Sports.ru), on whom almost everyone pinned blame for this case and for all previous ones.

Yes, he was tested for a different reason, as part of the court case with German journalist Hayo Seppelt (Shvetsky filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor, dignity, and business reputation in the Nikulinsky District Court in Moscow – Sports.ru), but nevertheless. In response to the lie detector examiner’s question about involvement in the incident with Kamila, he answered negatively. And the lie detector showed that he answered truthfully,” said journalist Vladislav Zhukov on the “Po moyey infe” podcast.
