Madison Chock & Evan Bates presented new short dance
After two change of a short dance Madison Chock and Evan Bates showed a new one at Skate America. It was quite risky decision to сhange the dance so close to GP events, so, was it worth it?

This dance is definitely more comfortable for them, they feel and present it better. It’s totally in their style. So, it will help them to be more concentrated on the technical side. But it seems they play safe. This dance is not memorable, just a dance that maybe will help them to win another medal at Worlds…..but it not a claim for gold.
The music and choreo is more suitable for them, but I don’t think it was a problem in their previous ones. The weakest part of the dance is still pattern. It doesn’t look polished, the holds is not close enough, too many space between them. The pattern of the waltz really shows who is who.
Good news: Madison’s old dress still fits her)
