Anastasia Gubanova: “I like a lot of skaters, I like someone’s skating, someone’s jumps. But I cannot help but note that Elizaveta Tuktamysheva is a great inspiration to all of us.”
Georgian figure skater Anastasia Gubanova spoke about her plans for the second half of the season, her programs and her idols in figure skating.
Gubanova’s short program is Istanbul Wedding and Historiette #5 by Fabrizio Paterlini, the free program is to the soundtrack to “Slumdog Millionaire”
Anastasia Gubanova: This season I will have one more Grand Prix in Finland, then we will see according to the situation. I think I will also have European and World Championships. I train in St. Petersburg, in my group.
The music for my short program was suggested by Valentin Nikolaevich Molotov and it was choregraphed by Alena Leonova. For the free program, I suggested Indian music. I wanted to try something new.
I like a lot of skaters, I like someone’s skating, someone’s jumps. But I cannot help but note that Elizaveta Tuktamysheva is a great inspiration to all of us. I look up to her because she has been skating for so many years and at the same time keeps the bar. It deserves a lot of respect.
