Best costumes from ISU JGP St. Gervais | short dance
Honestly, I’m not impressed with costumes for the short dance( So, I guess it’ll be a season of white shirts with three-quarter sleeves and waistcoats)
That’s why I want to praise these two teams for creativity and male partners for being brave to wear such costumes. Maybe I don’t like everything in their costumes, but at least it was memorable!
Nicole KUZMICH / Alexandr SINICYN (Czech Republic)
Alexandr deserves some extra points for his jacket!
Loica DEMOUGEOT / Theo LE MERCIER (France)
Another brave male costume) Love this plaid pants! Such pants add some brightness into boring range of black pants and white shirts) Her dress is also lovely and I like the striped section on the bodice.
And here’re my favorite two sets of costumes from the short dance:
Sofia SHEVCHENKO / Igor EREMENKO (Russia)
I like the cut of her dress – laconic and elegant. Also interesting choice of color, not frequently used in figure skating. The skirt look good in motion. But I’d gladly removed this white ribbon from her waist, Firstly, I thought that it’s his tie……but no, his tie is on his neck) Igor’s costume is very traditional, but elegant and well fitted.
Christina CARREIRA / Anthony PONOMARENKO (USA)
I like that Anthony doesn’t wear a waistcoat. He has more unformal look that suits more to his skating and to the playful mood of this program. And I really like Christina’s dress! Good example that red dress with tiny straps can look not vulgar. This dress also help to show how Christina grew up an turned into beautiful young lady.
