Stolbova and Klimov will miss Europeans
Troubles continue to plague the Russian team. Another sad news have come from the Russian pair skating. Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov will miss the European Championships.
According to fsrussis.ru Olympic champions in the team, Olympic silver medalists Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov won’t perform at the European Championships in Bratislava because of a shoulder injury that Fedor got at training.
Kristina Astakhova and Alexei Rogonov will replace them (see their performance from the Russian Nationals).
I really don’t know what to say….a week earlier we got the news about Yuko Kavaguti’s injury and now this one….After the Russian Nationals were a lot of talks that at Europeans all pedestal will be Russian… but don’t count your chickens before they are hatched.
I actually start to believe in prediction that “We won’t see Volosozhar-Trankov and Stolbova-Klimov competing against each other”……..I don’t allude on anything…but still…
Anyway I can see some good in this situation too. Astakhova Rogonov is nice pair with interesting programs. I’m glad they will have a chance to compete at European Championships.
