Elena Kostyleva revealed that she learned the quadruple toe loop in just one practice session. Here’s a translation of her comment.

“I came to the Angels of Plushenko Figure Skating Academy to learn how to jump the quadruple toe loop. It’s a very difficult element, and many skaters spend years trying to master it, but Evgeni Viktorovich [Plushenko]was able to teach me in just one session.

He is a very kind and incredibly hardworking person. In many ways, I look up to him as an example.

There’s no secret to success in victories. You simply need to train hard and stay focused on your goal. During competitions, I forget about the coaches, competitiors, and judges in front of me. That helps me calm down and perform my program the same way I do in practice,” Kostyleva said.

She also mentioned that her favorite figure skater is Alexandra Trusova.

“On the ice, you need to be bold — that’s something I lack. But Sasha radiates such energy, strength, and authority,” Kostyleva remarked.
