Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva has filed a new appeal with the Swiss Federal Court regarding a case of anti-doping rule violation.
Currently, the athlete is serving a four-year disqualification.
“We confirm that Ms. Valieva has filed a new appeal with the Swiss Federal Supreme Court,” the court’s press service reported, noting that they are unable to provide any additional information about the new appeal.
In January 2024, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced Valieva’s disqualification, starting from December 25, 2021, when she tested positive for trimetazidine. The Swiss Federal Court had previously already dismissed the figure skater’s appeal against the CAS decision.

In the olympic season all of TT’s girls but Kamila were broken at some point. So they drugged Kamila. LoL.
They didn’t suspect Kamila earlier for PED when she broke record after records. Prioritize her samples in Dec-January. They have days maybe even weeks prior to test her samples.
The timing of the announcement was suspicious. Tuktamysheva and Khromykh were on stand by as alternates. They could’ve went to fill the third spot. Team event should’ve been Trusova and Shcherbakova.
In a pandemic period where not many multinational events were scheduled, hence not that many testings that require that many resources.
For a fookin winter olympics! Half of Tokyo were gone!
In Sweden where people dont give a shit on masks and COVID protocols!
The same Sweden that refuse to disclose the Nord Stream investigation reports. The Integrity!
Simone Biles didnt compete in Tokyo all around because her anxiety drugs were in the list. She compete in individual events! Which means, they told her in advance and they let her detox in the olympic village!
AMERICA FUCK YEA!!!
But she can’t even train, as stated in the ban. This is more of seeking justice for the Beijing Olympics.
I mean… even with the four year ban she can still participate in olympics. Technically, that means it’s no different for her than it is for other russian skaters anyways.
If Russians are allowed to compete as neutrals, I doubt she will meet the criteria for neutrality.
Exactly, that is the great and glaring irony and injustice of this situation!!
I’m not a lawyer, but I’ve been expecting this appeal since April (?) when the news broke that WADA had allowed all those Chinese swimmers to compete and win medals, even though they had tested positive for trimetazidine prior to the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. I bet her defence will argue: if WADA finds it plausible that a cook’s trimetazidine in a restaurant kitchen could contaminate two dozen swimmers, then why does WADA find it implausible that a grandad’s trimetazidine in a domestic kitchen could contaminate one figure skater? Of course I may have misunderstood these cases, but to me it seems that WADA’s painted themselves into a corner with that swimmer verdict.
Good for her!! To many questions remain unanswered for justice to be have been served to its fullest degree.
