Russia will not host the Grand Prix stage in the 2023/24 season.

The decision was made at a meeting of the International Skating Union Council, which was held on January 16.

“The Council considered the requirements of ISU Communication No. 2469, reconfirmed by the 2022 ISU Congress, which includes, in particular but not limited to, provision 2.b) which states that ‘Until further notice no International Competitions shall be held in Russia and Belarus.’ and decided that no ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating event can take place in Russia during the 2023/24 Season.

This season, the Russian Grand Prix was also canceled due Russian’s invasion of Ukraine.
