Kaori Sakamoto: Since there are no Russian skaters here, they suddenly began to consider me a contender for a gold medal. At first I was not in the best shape and it was difficult for me to force myself, but after a few days my motivation rose. It’s not about the result, it’s just the last time I skate these two programs, so I wanted to show my best. This is the theme of my season. I am 100% satisfied.

I skated at high speed. The jumps were not very high quality, but still I was able to perform them, so everything is fine. Usually I perform poorly at the world championships, so I want to finish both the short program and the free program with a perfect skating. The past three weeks wasn’t great, but at the World Championships we need to win three spots for next year.
