Short interview with Alena Leonova who still continues her career.
How are you doing? How is the preparation for the new season?
– I feel wonderful! I feel the strength and desire to work and make the audience happy. Preparation is fruitful. Recently returned from the training camp. We were in Italy and in Latvia.
What elements do you focus on more during training?
– The content of the programs is the same as it was last season, because with the new rules there are more chances to get high scores. Although in the off-season I jumped the combination 3f-3t consistently, and also worked on other difficult combination. We also added triple loop into the free program.
Are the programs ready?
– Short program is ready, free program is in the process. Now in training I do the short program and I think that by the end of the week free program will be ready.
Are you going to participate in the Challenger series? If so, where are you going to start the season?
– I don’t know about the Challenger tournaments yet, I haven’t discussed it with the coach yet. But surely at the beginning of the season I’ll perform in St. Petersburg, then at the stages of the Russian Cup to get selected for the National Championships.
