State of Russian ice dance drama [27.10.2017]
Since Skate Canada started on Friday and I wanted to do a check-in post, I had to move my Russian ice dance drama somewhere. So let’s pretend again that it’s Friday)
Katya Bobrova and her dress for the banquet. What do you think? Is closing banquet after grand-prix official enough event to wear an evening gown? Or it’s a bit too much?
Meanwhile Dima searched the net and discovered that not everyone amazed with their dances) Oh my sweet, summer child…..He posted some videos on his Instagram and wrote that Russian commentators don’t allow themselves to say such things, that it were very political comments…..

Another Russia ice dance drama happened at isu-b event in Minsk. What happened? Typical Katsalapov happened. I don’t know what need to happen so these two get a spot to Olympics. I guess we can already congratulate Stepanova Bukin with secure #2 duo in Russian team.
Also my congratulation to Tiffany Zahorski and Jonathan Guerreiro with great start of the season!
Alexandra Stepanova doesn’t lose hope to make her Bukin look a bit more stylish. First she took him to boutique opening, now to a Fashion week.
Alla Loboda and Pavel Drozd debuted at senior Grand-prix. I think it was a good debute.
I think we haven’t seen Anastasiya Shpilevaya and Grigory Smirnov for a while….it was a lot of rumours that they might have been thinking about changing a coach. Any updates on this?
Betina Popova and Sergei Mozgov won the first gold medal in their career at some local competition.
By the way Betina thinks that Hawayek-Baker’s exhibition program is super cool!)

We were at Skate Canada and loved Hawayek-Baker’s gala program also. So fun!!
I really like this team, I liked them back in juniors and like them now. So it’s great to see they’re open for experiments with styles.
Sometimes a girl just wants to wear her best dress.
Yes, probably that was the reason)
