Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov: We want to stand out
Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov commented their performance at Nebelhorn Trophy 2017.
Evgenia: Skate of the free program wasn’t bad, but there were small mistakes. Mistake on the jump is just a technical mistake, I will need to work on it.
Vladimir: I think that progress is visible, we are happy about that. The judges evaluated our new programs. Let’s see how the season will develop further, while we are on the right track. We like our free program, we are comfortable with it. Of course, it is very energy-intensive, it’s quite difficult to sustain a fast pace throughout the whole program, but we cope with this. Usually in the Olympic season, many skaters choose slow, lyrical programs, we want to stand out somehow.
Evgenia: We really liked our last short program, which was made by Peter Tchernyshev, so we decided that it would be nice to do something similar in the free program this year. Last season we took step and swing, this time – boogie-woogie. This rhythm looks interesting and it is well appreciated. We like to skate programs in such style.

I have seen their FP for the second time and their costumes are again bad, and polka-dotted panties are just too much. When I didn’t know which music they have chosen I thought that they will skate to the Flinstones. That uh-la-la part is also too much, it’s quite funny. I also don’t like the first part of the last lift, when Evgenia’s head is down; for me this lift position looks ugly. But I like the high speed of the program, it is fresh and entertaining as well, appealing to the public and I like it.
Oh, sorry I haven’t much to say about Tarasova-Morozov FP. Tasteless program, tasteless costumes.
There are some tasteless aspects, I agree, but we can just agree to disagree :)
