Alysa spent over one year without skating, then she returned saying “I’ll decide how hard I will train, how lightweight I’ll keep my body”, and soon she got the every athletes’ desired olympic gold medal.
That’s the BEST precedent possible for all those girls that are abused with heavy training, injuries, deprived of enough rest time and food and even water.
I’m happy to see Trusova motivated to come back too, but as we say in Portuguese, she seems to be doing it more on the strength of rage than on enjoyment.
