The ISU is aware of the IOC’s recommendation to allow Russian juniors to compete and will consider it at the appropriate time.

The International Skating Union (ISU) will consider the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommendation to allow Russian juniors to participate in competitions “at the appropriate time.”

Previously, the IOC recommended that participants in youth tournaments be allowed to compete with their flag and anthem. The IOC’s recommendations to admit adult athletes only under neutral status and strict conditions remain in effect.

“The ISU is fully aware of the Olympic Summit’s support for the IOC Executive Board’s recommendation that access for young athletes with Russian or Belarusian passports to international youth competitions should no longer be restricted.

Decisions regarding eligibility to participate in ISU competitions are made by the ISU Council, and it is expected that the ISU Council will consider the IOC’s recommendation at the appropriate time,” the organization stated.

  1. “Consider” lmfao! What they really means, “thanks, but no thanks, we’ve already decided” like a typical bureaucracy
