Adeliia Petrosian stated that Russian figure skating competitions are better organized and more impressive than the Olympics, though she acknowledged the unique atmosphere of the Games. Here’s a translation of her comments.

Adeliia Petrosian: Regarding the organization of the Olympics… Our Russian competitions are decorated on a larger scale, more beautifully. Our federation pays close attention to this and invests a lot. It always looks very impressive.

Still, the Olympics have their own atmosphere: Olympic rings everywhere, signs that this is a unique event held only once every four years. All of this gives you butterflies in your stomach, a special feeling.

Q: So, are our tournaments on the level of the Olympic Games?

Adeliia Petrosian: Ours are a little better, haha.”
