Hana Yoshida (19) commented on the upcoming Skate Canada GP and her goals for the start of the season. Here’s a translation of her comments posted on Nikkansports.
During the official practice at Skate Canada, Hana Yoshida revealed her plans to do a double axel in the short program and a triple axel in the free, saying, “I still haven’t fully adjusted to the feel of the ice, but I was able to gradually get used to it during this official practice. Overall, I am in good condition.”
Her theme for this season is to make it a year of “Steps” looking forward to the 2026 Milan-Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics. After progressing last season to 3rd place at the GP Final and making her debut at the World Championships, this season she aims “to make good use of what I learned last year this year, carry it over to next year, and complete it in these three years.
Regarding this competition, she said, “I am not aiming for a specific ranking. My goal is to give my all, so if I can skate each element calmly, that’s what I hope for.”
