“Friends, good morning to all! I wanted to comment a bit on yesterday’s performance, specifically, to talk about the concept of our free program.

Firstly: Gosha is not the Master, and I am certainly not Margarita! In this piece, we have transformed into the characters of Woland and his Idea. From the beginning, Woland had an Idea that he wanted to incarnate. It grew in his subconscious, played with him and his thoughts, tickled his nerves, and tormented him in various ways. Eventually, this Idea captivated his mind that that he could no longer restrain it.

Closer to the end of the program, there is a transition between control and submission; the power shifts to other hands – the Idea completely enslaves him, he becomes a hostage of his own thoughts, he is no longer able to stop everything. And in the finale, it finally prevails; Woland gives in, and Moscow burns,” Kostornaia wrote on her Telegram channel.
