Here’s a translation of Alena Kostornaia’s comment about changes in her approach to competitions in pair skating.

“I’ve let go of the situation, understood what needs improvement, and we are focusing solely on those elements, exclusively on the execution of programs. We aim to have these programs overshadow the past ones so that people stop saying, ‘Kostornaia – single skater, Kostornaia this, Kostornaia that.’ Even when they criticize the programs, they say ‘Kostornaia,’ but we are actually skating as a pair. There’s Alena Kostornaia and Georgi Kunytsa,” the figure skater remarked.

“I’ve come to terms with the fact that this season, I won’t receive the high scores I would like,” Kostornaia added, as reported by journalist Vladislav Zhukov in the “Lapidarnost” Telegram channel.

Medvedeva’s comments are a joke. They raised the level of crappy jumps via drug abuse and fixed judging. The quality of Russian women’s skating declined under Tuberidze. No shame, any of them keep them the hell out of the Olympics. We want a clean world of sports. Filthy unapologetic cheaters.
