Here’s a translation ot Nikita Katsalapov’s and Victoria Sinitsina’s comments calling for awarding Russian figure skaters the gold from the 2022 Olympics team event.

Katsalapov competed in ice dance with Victoria Sinitsina. At the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, they won gold in the team event, but the medal ceremony did not take place due to Kamila Valieva’s positive doping test.

Q: Does the situation with the medals bother you a lot?

Katsalapov: Very much, honestly. We want a fair decision as soon as possible. And for all our team to receive the well-deserved medals.

Q: How difficult is it to wait for a decision, especially when you still have to compete? For example, in Kamila Valieva’s situation.

Sinitsina: Kamila is such a young person with an unyielding will. How she went through this Olympics, with all the difficulties… We have always supported her throughout the whole journey, and we continue to support her. We have a very good relationship with her. We chat.

So we always support her. And she is a huge success, continuing to compete and proving to everyone, even under these circumstances, that she is a fighter. It is simply impossible not to respect her.

They did not place first in either round of the team competition, so why are they talking about well-deserved medals? They don’t deserve a thing, but I do hope the decision is made quickly.

I think this Russian pair with the new swastika “z” on their olympic jackets should just keep their awful mouth shut. Period.
