On September 16-17, Alena Kostornaia and Georgio Kunitsa participated in team test skates. They have been skating together since the beginning of the year.

“The debut of Alena Kostornaia and Georgii Kunitsa was excellent. We saw their short program skate in the summer on social media. Since then, Alena has improved significantly, and I think Gosha has become much better at skating. They have gained in speed, skating quality, and have beautiful lines. The synergy between Alena and Gosha is working; each of them brings out the best in the other. I really liked their skates.

Certainly, we should take into account that Alena has recently switched to pair skating, so there is still a lot of work for them to do. But their debut was very good – beautiful programs, excellent elements. If they continue at this pace, they can soon compete with our top pairs.

Alexandra Boikova/Dmitrii Kozlovskii and Anastasia Mishina/Aleksandr Galliamov, as always, are excellent – clean skating, powerful speed. Sasha and Dima have kept the programs they created under the guidance of Tamara Nikolaevna Moskvina. They spent a lot of time training with her, so her coaching style is evident in their skating.

Last season, Boikova and Kozlovskii made mistakes in throws, but they didn’t make any mistakes at the test skates. Perhaps some stability came to them after joining Eteri Tutberidze’s group. But I think we need to see how things develop over the season. One tournament is not indicative. But Boikova/Kozlovskii were a top pair, and they remain so, which is good,” said Alexander Enbert.
