Figure skater Mai Mihara participated in her fourth “Hair Donation” on the September 12th, as reported on her team’s official Instagram. She expressed her hope that it would safely reach its destination.
This is an activity where donated hair is used to make medical wigs for people who have lost their hair due to conditions such as alopecia, illnesses, or accidents. Mai Mihara participated in this activity last spring, during which she revealed that she had cut 35 centimeters of her hair.
This time, she shared photos of her transformation from long hair that covered her back to a straight bob with her fans. She smiled and mentioned how the bob hair dries quickly. Figure skating fans on social media, including Twitter, reacted positively, commenting on how cute she looked with the bob haircut and praising her for this wonderful act of kindness.
