Elizaveta Tuktamysheva has admitted that she is still searching for motivation to continue her career.
“I am still in search of motivation. I can’t say why it disappeared. But I am glad to be here (at the test skates – ed.), glad that I performed my program well.
Performances still give me the drive. Of course, I missed international competitions.
Are there any doubts about participating in the season? We’ll see, I don’t know yet. I don’t want to deceive you,” she said.
Tuktamysheva believes that figure skaters should be protected from the cruelty of coaches.
“There are coaches who treat children harshly. But I have never experienced it myself, and I have never witnessed it. If I see something like that, I definitely won’t stay silent.
It would be good if children could seek help. They are defenseless, and I want them to feel protected. If someone, God forbid, uses force, children should be able to turn somewhere for help,” said Elizaveta Tuktamysheva.
Elizaveta Tuktamysheva reacted to the ban on Peter Gumennik from performing his SP to Rammstein.
“Of course, it’s disappointing when an athlete has been preparing program for 4 months. It’s such a blow to the emotional state. Especially since Petia was thrilled, he loves Rammstein. It’s upsetting.
But I’m not surprised that such a precedent has occurred. But I think he will draw conclusions. There’s an alternative to rock, old classics,” said Tuktamysheva.
“Do you not believe that it can be challenged now?” asked the interviewer.
“I don’t want to get into that. I wish Petr strength! Both morally and physically!” Tuktamysheva replied.
