This information comes from “R-Sport,” citing a source familiar with the situation. The agency’s informant believes that the Olympic champion’s participation in major competitions in 2023 is “unlikely.”
It is noted that the 19-year-old figure skater has been working on at least one new program. However, it is unclear whether this program is for competitions or exhibitions.
In June, there were reports that Shcherbakova was considering a return to competitions. However, it later became known that she had contracted mononucleosis.
A month later, Shcherbakova began training in a light mode, but she has not been able to significantly intensify her training yet.
