European Champion 2020 Alena Kostornaia will not perform at the Russian Nationals. Comments from the athlete and her coach Elena Buyanova.
In September, the Kostornaia underwent hip surgery.
Alena Kostornaia: It’s 100%, even 200% that I won’t compete at the Russian Nationals. So far, the plans for this year are only shows and, possibly, a new event of the Russian Figure Skating Federation – gala programs competition. I’m gaining strength and recovering for the next year.
