Anastasia Tarakanova left Eteri Tutberidze’s group and joined Evgeni Plushenko’s Academy.

Anastasia have been training in my academy for several days now. Now we work on her recovery, under my guidance she goes to the training camp in Bulgaria. Today we start working on new programs with choreographers.
This makes Anastasia the third girl who left Tutberidze’s group this offseason.

I don’t think that was a clever move although it is fully understandable — even her #3 spot on the Tutberidze team is seriously in danger. She should look elsewhere to grow and be competitive, but instead of going to Panova or Sokolovskaya, she goes to a flashy Plushenko — who’s too busy promoting himself and making money to taking care of his students… Wishing her best though! Her two Gleichenhaus programs were terrific past season and she excelled in them.

Agree, but I also doubt that Plushenko is the best option in this situation.
Loved her programs last season! Best wishes to her at the Angels Academy. Hopefully she can thrive there the same way Sima did :)
