Here’s a translation of Kamila Valieva’s comments regarding her doping case in an interview for WomanHit

Q: At the moment, your biggest competitions are the Olympics in Beijing. How are you experiencing this entire story with the doping scandal?

Kamila Valieva: To this day, I perceive it as the greatest injustice that happened to me. It was very difficult at first. Now, internal strength has emerged to handle this more calmly, although it keeps bringing me back.

Q: Your case will be heard in January…

Kamila Valieva: How many times it has been postponed… I want to know the outcome already. Living in suspense is the worst. When you don’t understand what the future holds, it’s very unpleasant.

Q: Did Eteri Tutberidze, your coach, support you during this challenging time?

Kamila Valieva: Yes, as much as she could.

Q: In your early interviews, you mentioned that your coach is the ideal figure skater for you. Is that still the case?

Kamila Valieva: Eteri Georgievna embodies resilience of character and self-confidence. She knows how to approach situations with a cool head. I would like to possess these qualities because sometimes I perceive everything overly emotionally. Eteri Georgievna and her entire team are the people who brought me to the top. Without them, there might not have been the figure skater Kamila Valieva that I’ve become. So, a big thank you to them!

Q: But she’s not perfect?

Kamila Valieva: Who is perfect? Is there a single person? There are no such people. If everyone were perfect, it would be boring.”

I agree with Kamila. this is a great injustice. she is obviously innocent. her talent is amazing and that heart medication would be both very dangerous for health for a fifteen year old and would not improve her skating, so it is accidental. Kamila shows great fortitude and perseverance to continue skating at a high level. she will win Olympics in 2026!!
