Soon there will be a documentary film about you, “Medvedeva against Medvedeva.” How important is this to you? Will there be any important announcements? You already mentioned exclusives.
Evgenia Medvedeva: There will be many exclusives. The filming started in 2018. It contains a lot of unreleased material. There will be a lot of footage from both Canada and the Ice Age. I think it will be interesting for the viewer.
I still, probably, do not understand the importance of this event. I approached it as another shooting. Probably, “a film about Evgenia Medvedeva” sounds pretentious (laughs), and I’m waiting myself. I’m wondering what will come of this. There will be a lot of stuff that I don’t even remember.
There are children’s shots that were digitized from videotapes or cassettes, videos where I’m very small. I’m only 2-3 years old there; I just started skating. Nobody has ever seen these shots.

Evgenia Medvedeva: I also never saw them. So I’m still not sure how this all looks together. So let’s see.
You have a lot to do. Have you already bought gifts for your loved ones?
Evgenia Medvedeva: I haven’t bought anything yet, it’s just awful. My friends are already asking me, “Zhenya, what do you want for the New Year?” And I don’t know what I want! At all! I don’t know what to buy for them. What was the most unusual new year’s gift I received? I can’t remember. My family and friends usually give me very reverent gifts. So I can’t name anything out of the ordinary. All within the bounds of decent.
What did you ask Santa Claus to bring you?
Evgenia Medvedeva: Since 2018, I’m not making wishes for my birthday or for the New Year. Because it’s all dreams. Something that does not depend on me in any way, intangible. I don’t voice out my dreams because if I do, then everything turns out the other way around.
