Valieva won the competitions. In the free program she tried to do a quadruple toe loop, but fell.

She also tried to perform a quadruple toe loop twice after a free program, but also fell both times.

Kamila Valieva: I was a little upset that I could not make a quadruple toe loop. In the warm-up and training, everything was fine. Today there was more confidence. Then, probably, I will jump two in program so that one turns out.

It wasn’t 100 percent. How much? I don’t know. It would be 100 percent if I made a toe loop. But I have warm memories from today’s performance. Last time in Moscow, I asked would they withdraw me if I try to do a quadruple after the performance. It was a pity that I didn’t do it, so I decided to try. Will I try in the future? I don’t know. What if I say yes, and then they will forbid me? Why didn’t I make a third try? The coaches said that it’s enough.

If we compare the emotions from the program hare and at the test skates, they are different. It cannot be said that every time I feel the same emotion, anyway, something always changes, I add different movements. Has it become easier to skate the free program? Don’t know. It wasn’t hard for me. Memories just came flooding back for the first time. But a lot of time has passed since then, we must move on. Now I also try to live these emotions on the ice. I hope that I will take part in the jumping competitions. I will not guess, but I hope. What content to expect? Don’t know. Obviously not a quadruple lutz. I’m not a magician.

It’s a month and a half before the Russian Nationals. There is still so much time. You just have to work, work and work again. Aren’t the attempts of a quad after a performance considered disrespectful to rivals? I do not know if it is possible to do this. I was the last to skate. If someone had performed after me, I would not have gone for it. I haven’t talked to anyone yet, except the coaches. If they tell me not to do that, I won’t do it again. It was a fleeting desire. I don’t know what they will tell me. I wanted to make a toe loop, but it didn’t work out. But I do everything in training, there was also a good attempt at the warm-up. So, when it will work out is a matter of time.
