Earlier it became known that Dmitri Aliev, Makar Igranov received summons, there were also information (but denied) that Alexander Samarin also received a summon.

Tatiana Anatolievna, even figure skaters can be in the military service now.

Tatiana Tarasova: And what, figure skaters are not Russian people? But this, of course, is completely unnecessary.

Is it necessary to give athletes a withdrawal from the army or is everyone equal?

Tatiana Tarasova: The main national team is very small, and these two athletes are just in the main team. There are 4-5 people per country. Therefore, there will be no one to perform at the European and World Championships. You can count our main athletes on the fingers of two hands.

Did this information shock you?

Tatiana Tarasova: It doesn’t shock me. But there has always been an exception to the rule. You can postpone it to the end of the season.

That is, to give a temporary reprieve to the athletes of the main team?

Tatiana Tarasova: Yes, postpone it until after the World Championships.

Alexander Zhulin: They said that they would mobilize conscripts who were transferred to the reserve. I think that if Russian athletes are involved, then only for the purpose of general physical training in some camps.

I don’t think this is the right solution. I expected that the national team members will not be touched.

They need to go to the draft board and show that they exist. I don’t think they will be called. If they are called, then this is not quite the right decision.

Moreover, these are people who do not have any experience at all. If they have, then this is a sports rota, it wasn’t serious, therefore this is cannon fodder.

Ilia Averbukh: I don’t even know how to comment on this topic. I really hope the guys figure it out. I think that our athletes, those guys who represent the honor of Russia, would be more useful on the ice. But what to do. I express my support to the skaters. Although support is not quite the right word here. Yet many people find themselves in this situation. I think they will come to the military registration and enlistment office and sort it out there.

Thank you, Mr Zhulin, for being realistic. Yes, these guys are your national treasure, yet about to be offered as cannon fodder.

Tarasova: “Let them go to the World Championships first. Then they can die.”

    Fat cow.

  3. Simone says:

Wait, weren’t the skaters the very same people who worshipped Putin in his events for personal gain? So thet very much are suitable for army which they so much support

  4. Jana says:

The whole issue is a farce, no one has attacked Russia recently. On the other hand, God knows what I would think, living under their media massage. Way too many conscripts died already, having no idea they were invading a sovereign country. Others have turned into torturing monsters. Will ever history stop repeating itself?

Zhulin, you are a true patriot and Putin supporter. Your students were wearing Z symbol. Go out with your students and fight as a true patriot. Or…?
