Earlier, the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, announced the option of admitting Russians without national symbols.

“We had to take these protective measures with a very heavy heart because we were faced with an unsolvable problem.

On the one hand, we cannot completely abandon our mission to unite the whole world in competitions, on the other hand, the only way to protect this mission was to recommend to suspend athletes solely because of their nationality.” Bach said at the congress of the International Biathlon Union.

The head of the press service of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU), Sergei Averianov, said in a telegram channel that Thomas Bach had voiced the option of admitting Russians without national symbols.

Tatiana Tarasova commented on this option: This is good. Of course, you should take advantage of this opportunity. No state symbols? Everyone will know us anyway.

Everyone will know that Russians are competing without state symbols. The most important thing is that the guys compete.

Energy rationing? Rolling blackouts? No license to freeze the rink from unelected Ursula? Figure skating is suddenly a luxury sport without Russian energy.
