Anna Shcherbakova: I saw a global goal for myself in terms of the Olympic Games, and now I have a little time to heal old injuries. I think that those who follow me know that now I am dealing with one of the old injuries.
I am recovering and will start training on the ice very soon. So now my first goal is to restore the body so that it is ready for new loads.
According to R-sport, Anna Shcherbakova won’t participate in the test skates on the Russian national team which takes place September 24-25.
Doctors do not give forecasts for the recovery of Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova after knee surgery.
This was reported by Metaratings.ru, citing a source familiar with the situation.
“Anya is recovering after the surgery, she is not preparing for test skates. Her return will depend on how she gets back on the ice, now no one gives any forecasts without loads. Even doctors don’t know how long it will take to recover. Everything will depend on the individual characteristics of the body.
Doctors will soon allow her to go on the ice, but at first she will not be able to jump. Then it is planned to increase the load gradually, and they will start from this. It’s unknown in what competitions she will take part.”
