Tatiana Tarasova: Figure skating will benefit from allowing quads in the ladies’ short program

Tatiana Tarasova supported the initiative to allow quadruple jumps in ladies’ short program.

Tatiana Tarasova: This is my suggestion too. Of course I support it. We can say that I am the initiator, because I think that this is very unfair that men were allowed, but girls were not. We were the first and will be the first.

Both Evgeni Plushenko and Timothy Gable began to jump quads in the short program. Why weren’t the girls allowed? This will benefit not only us, it is important for both the honesty of the rules and for the development of figure skating.
