Russian figure skating federation called on ISU to consider inconsistent decisions of the judges on Russian skaters
Last week, at the Grand Prix in China the judging team considered edges on all five Anna Shcerbakova’s lutzes unclear and gave her and exclamation mark. In France, judges saw the same shortcomings in Alina Zagitova’s jumps and Alena Kostornaia’s. Previously, specialists did not have such questions about these elements.
Alexander Gorshkov, president of the Russian Figure Skating Federation, said that the federation had contacted the International Ice Skating Union (ISU) to consider this situation.
Alexander Gorshkov: We turned to the technical committee for single and pair skating to analyze the inconsistency in a number of decisions made in relation to our athletes. We also sent this appeal to ISU Vice President Alexander Lakernik.

Gorshkov also said that FFKR invited ISU to consider the inclusion of quad jumps into the short program in ladies’ skating:
Alexander Gorshkov: Our Federation has initiated consideration of the issue of allowing quad jumps in the ladies short program. The change in the technical rules goes as follows: proposals are sent until September, which our federation did. We are waiting for a response from the technical committee, which should follow before the start of the congress (the ISU Congress will be held in the summer of 2020 in Thailand).

There’s also a comment from the General Director of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKR) Alexander Kogan.
Alexander Kogan: I really hope that judging at Rostelecom Cup will be more objective than at some other Grand Prixes. I hope that we will see not only great skating, but also objective judging.

I mean it’s consistent if it happens to everyone for every lutz. It’s not 2018 where Medvedeva did not get called whereas Osmond did. Does no one remember the glitz queen Sotnikova? She did 3 Flip 3 Toes!!!
All of her lutz takeoffs are on the wrong edge as is a good majority of quads not 4 rotations and some very short!!!!!!!
