Dmitri Aliev: No one will sit around
Dmitri Aliev who won silver at World Junior Championships commented on his performance and told about plans for the future.
Dmitri: First of all I want to congratulate all the guys on completing the competitions. This championships was very hard and intense. For me personally, today’s day has become a small discovery, my new level in figure skating. I am very glad that I managed to overcome all my emotions. For me, the last starting number was a test. I have got past this point today and I am very happy with it.
My performance at this tournament I assess as good. Thanks to my team for their help in the preparation. And what happened is over, everything is already in the past … A good job was done, thanks to which I showed everything I could …
The silver medal of this World Championships means a lot for me, because it was the end of my junior career, and this ending turned out good. In our plans is to move into senior sport and second place at the Junior Worlds it’s a good start for the new season …
It is clear that after the World Championships no one will sit around. I think that in the summer all the guys will train hard. I have a quadruple lutz in reserve, which is pretty good at practices, difficult combinations with lutz. Now we need to work on it all, to build the working process, in order to understand on what it is necessary to work on especially attentively.
There are a lot of strong athletes in men’s single skating. There are Yuzuru Hanyu and Javier Fernandez and many others. This makes young athletes to train harder. And when there is a fight and excitement, it is always more interesting.
