Boy, do I feel stupid! I’ve been following Adam’s career since he was a junior. However, I am going justify my faux pas by stating that Adam is like a chameleon. He has changed his hair style and color so many times that I am easily confused. :-)
It is very easy to be confused! His hair changes all the time!
When it comes to not recognizing skaters, the funniest thing happened to me. Until recently I did not follow pair skating much, and did not look at Instagram much. So I had no idea that Ksenia Stolbova had dyed and cut her hair. When I went to see her at Skate America, I was under the impression that she would have long dark hair with blonde highlights. So I saw her partner Fedor sitting with a girl with short almost black hair and had NO IDEA that it was Ksenia. I felt like such a fool.

Me too! He was such a cute little boy, almost like Charlie White with blond curls! But with the current hair he seems very much like a cashmere sweater model from New York or Paris. I don’t know why I always think of him like that, I just do.

Who is the male skater with the cat?
His name is Adam Rippon, and he’s the 2016 American national champion. He finished 6th at Worlds, is a student of Rafael Arutunian, and is friends with Ashley Wagner.
I love Anna’s new SP dress, it looks very ladylike and flirty without being inappropriate. At last, something that’s not made of little blue strips held together with sequins! She looks really pretty.

Do you like this thing on her shoulder?
I’d like it better if it was a little less fluffy, but after three seasons of blue strips, I’m just happy to see a real dress. I think they’re trying to imitate a showgirl costume, hence the fluff on her shoulder, but the dress would be pretty without. And they should make the illusion mesh just a tiny bit lighter to match her skin…but overall, not bad.
Yes, not bad. Especially in comparison with tasteless horror from the free program.
It’s a new age for Anna’s costumes, and thank god!
A pretty girl in a pretty costume is a recipe for success!
