“Q: How did your collaboration with Richaud go?

Alexei Mishin: You know, there are different stages in human relationships. At one time, I – a master of figure skating – first involved him in working with top-level athletes. Now, as a coach, I am happy to benefit from his experience.

A decade has passed since then, and during this time, Richaud has gone from being a novice choreographer from a provincial French town to the world’s number one choreographer. Abroad, he is even called the “Kandinsky of figure skating.”

He considers me his father in the world of figure skating, and now, together with my athletes, I am happy to draw strength and inspiration from working with Richaud.”
