Tatiana Tarasova: “I believe the Americans [Zingas and Kolesnik] were stronger and more interesting. The British, on the other hand, don’t glide well. I think the judges didn’t do anything wrong, strangely enough.”

Tatiana Tarasova commented on the results in ice dance at the World Championships in Prague. Here’s a translation of her comments.
American skaters Emilia Zingas and Vadym Kolesnik took third place, finishing 0.22 points ahead of Britain’s Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson – after the judges penalized the British team two points for a stationary lift with straight arms.
“I believe the Americans were stronger and more interesting. The British, on the other hand, don’t glide well. I think the judges didn’t do anything wrong, strangely enough.
I was also wondering how you could place a pair that doesn’t skate ahead – don’t the judges see that? That’s the most important thing,” Tarasova said.
