Tatiana Tarasova, in a conversation with Sport24, commented on the lack of response from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to the US military operation against Iran. Here’s a translation.

“It’s unfair that the IOC does not suspend American athletes. I don’t understand why we have to be held responsible for everything. It’s as if other countries don’t participate in conflicts. Take Israel, for example. It’s not fair,” Tarasova said.

Tarasova also suggested that Russian athletes may be allowed to return to international competitions in all sports as early as next year.

“It’s not that they’re afraid of us, but we’re not being allowed in because we would definitely be competition for those who take first, second, and third places. We have always been, are, and will be competitors.

Four years have passed; I think this outrageous mockery will end. We should start participating in competitions again next year, from the summer. First the juniors, and then the seniors will take part in all competitions held worldwide,” Tarasova told Sovetsky Sport.
