“With those injuries as well, we thought it was best not to do Worlds and to focus on getting fit again.”
Today, Hendrickx was back on the ice for the first time since Milan. “But I feel my body needs rest.”
Does that mean she has decided to continue after all? “I haven’t really been able to think about that yet,” said the 26-year-old Hendrickx.
“I think it’s something I’ll eventually feel. But for now, I’m definitely going to keep training.”
The World Figure Skating Championships will take place from March 24 to 29. Nina Pinzarrone is expected to participate.
