Trusova landed a quad lutz on her second attempt during training ahead of the Russian Jump Championships. In August, the figure skater gave birth to a son, and in January she announced her return to the sport.
“We have one day left before the jump tournament, and I had a training session. During it, I landed a quad lutz on my second try. Honestly, I’m in shock – everyone is in shock, I think.
I just went for it to try – since it’s a jump tournament, I wanted to. My triples were good. I’m in shock, I’m buzzing, I don’t know how I’ll perform tomorrow because these feelings are indescribable.
