In a conversation with Olympics.com, Alysa Liu shared that she plans to return to her previous free skate program for the 2026 Olympics, despite debuting a new routine at the U.S. Nationals.
“I don’t even think I’m going to do it (free skate to Lady Gaga) at the Olympics. But I really wanted to do it once at least… I always wanted to do MacArthur (last year’s free skate to Donna Summer) for the individual free skate event. I was training MacArthur Park like two times a week, but the rest of the time it was the Lady Gaga program,” Liu said, clarifying that she only considered her old program for the Games.
Liu also shared that she is preparing a new dress for the Olympics – “still metallic, but with a fresh twist.”
